We have had some little ducky visitors hanging out in our pond behind our house since before Christmas. I have found through trial and error that they do not like Jim's yucky health cereal (if a duck wont eat it can you blame me for not eating it), they do like granola but wait till you are back inside to eat it, they do not like Sun Chips (the people above us threw those to them and they picked them up and spit them back out). So bread it is. And the girl duck is a bit of a piggy... she gets to the bread faster and will cut right in front of her male partner and eat what's in front of him. I am crossing my fingers that they'll stay and have baby ducks for us to watch this spring.
